Kidney Herbal Tea (100 g) is a traditional herbal blend from the Herbal Pharmacy “Karmela” in Nova Topola. It is intended for the preparation of a herbal beverage according to the original instructions printed on the packaging, in line with the long-standing monastic tradition of collecting and processing medicinal herbs.
Preparation instructions (according to the original label)
- Add one tablespoon of tea to 1 liter of cold water.
- Boil the tea for 1 minute.
- Let it stand for 10–15 minutes, covered.
- Strain and drink 1 to 2 liters of tea daily.
About the monastery and the Herbal Pharmacy “Karmela”
The Monastery of the Holy Family was founded in 1888 in the former settlement of Mittel-Windthorst (today Nova Topola), on the road between Bosanska Gradiška and Banja Luka.
After World War II, the sisters continued their life and work in the monastery, becoming well known for collecting and preparing herbal teas and natural herbal products.
Since October 16, 2002, this tradition has been continued through the Herbal Pharmacy “Karmela”, with the aim of openness, help, and trust toward all people.
